Abstract—The ideological and political education has become an important part of postgraduate courses to strengthen and promote the construction of such courses effectively and efficiently. For the characteristics of engineering postgraduates, our university has carried out a series of teaching discussion and research. In this study, we have considered the practical difficulties and the current situation of ideological and political education in our college and are inspired by the theory of circle theory. A  new mode  that integrates the excellent teachers, the curriculum, and the classroom environment is proposed to advance  the construction of ideological and political education in graduate courses. To accelerate this process, specific  measures  based on the circle style theory are  explored,  which  contribute to the formation of correct values and professional ethics among engineering graduates  to meet the needs of national and local development.
