Abstract—Health education is important to increase children’s health awareness. However, it is complex and often difficult to understand for children. Especially, the human inner systems that they can not see. Therefore, we propose “The Serious Game Strategy for Experiential Learning”, an innovative approach that combines experiential learning with the immersive elements of a serious game to make complex processes easier to understand and engage with. Based on this strategy, this paper designs a serious game “Digestive System Journey” for children. This study proposes an immersive role-playing game in which children take on the role of food and experience a virtual world that simulates the digestive system from a first perspective. Through experiential learning, children can learn about the internal structure and working process of the digestive system and develop healthy eating habits. Our study highlights the potential of combining experiential learning with serious games to create engaging and educational health education experiences.
